Frosty Poems

Robert Frost’s poems are very interesting. They are a hybrid of the old stuffy poetry and the new wave poetry. He takes the best of both and smushes them together so that they becomeĀ  one cohesive unit. His poems deal a lot with nature ans self-reflection, things everyone can relate to. His poems feel more mature and intelligent than poems I am used to reading because of the rhyme scheme and the deeper meaning in every poem. The poems look one way on the surface, but once the class analyzes them a deeper and more powerful meaning is discovered. My favorite poem is Acquainted With the Night. Frost never revealed the true nature of this poem and this allows for unlimited interprtation. I like the numerous interpretations the class had for this poem, most of which could be true. This poem is similar to art because each person takes away something different from reading it.
